In early November, AFETEA partnered with the Daliangshan Theatre Festival to bring the French productions Rouge and The Beautiful Sheets—the latter a recipient of a PRIX LUEUR award—to China for a special performance series.

Both works were staged at the 7th Daliangshan Theatre Festival in Xichang, where they received an enthusiastic response from local audiences. Following the performances, many spectators remained to engage in conversations with the creative teams, discussing artistic concepts and production details.

Since its establishment in 2019 in Xichang, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, the Daliangshan Theatre Festival has developed into a major theatrical event combining performance and academic exchange. This year’s festival presented 110 productions, including 15 international invited works, and hosted more than 30 academic activities, ranging from international theatre dialogues to masterclasses.
