AFETEA Convenes Annual Meetings in China, Outlines “Prix Lueur” Revamp and Plans for Sino-French Theatre Exchange
In mid-November, AFETEA held its annual meetings in Xichang and Shanghai, China. The sessions reviewed the association’s programming over the past year and included in-depth discussions on feedback gathered following the inaugural edition of the PRIX LUEUR, as well as proposals for improvement.
During the meetings, the association finalized the preliminary framework for the 2026 PRIX LUEUR, which will further refine the evaluation process and consider the introduction of a new award dedicated to original productions—an initiative responding to the significant rise of emerging creators and new works in recent years.
The meetings were attended by AFETEA President Miao Zhao, Vice President Célia Dumont Malet, Board Members Marjolaine Juste, Lu Cao, and Alexis Pecharman, Secretary General Song Rao, and Award Producer Ni Zhen.
